Useful Resources to Build a Kickass GitHub Readme Profile
April 01, 2021
As developers, we love visiting each others' GitHub profiles and browse through their repos and admire their portfolios. GitHub Profile readme is a great way to add some personality to your GitHub portfolio.
I recently added my own and these are some useful resources that helped me get started:
There are some really good articles about setting up GitHub profiles available on DEV as well. Braydon has done a great job with his profile as well as these incredibly detailed articles.
Shields helped you design your social media logos, tech-stack, and social media badges. These add color and personality to your readme.
Emojis is a useful website to quickly search and copy light-hearted emojis to add to your emojis.
It shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours to get it done. Try to keep it simple and uniform. Don't mix themes and use too many colors or gifs. Most importantly, make sure you add your personality to it!
Hope this was helpful. Happy coding!😊🚀💻
